The steel plate shot blasting pretreatment production line is a professional equipment production line used for cleaning and pretreating the surface of steel plates. It mainly removes impurities such as scale, rust, and oil stains on the surface of steel plates through the shot blasting process, providing a good surface foundation for subsequent processes such as painting and welding, so as to improve the corrosion resistance, adhesion, and service life of steel plates.
Shot Blasting Machine: This is the core equipment of the pretreatment line. It throws shot onto the surface of the steel plate through a high-speed rotating impeller, and uses the impact force and friction force of the shot to remove impurities on the surface of the steel plate. Parameters of the shot blasting machine such as the shot blasting quantity, shot blasting speed, and shot blasting angle can be adjusted according to the material, thickness, and surface condition of the steel plate.
Conveyor System: Composed of conveying rollers, driving devices, etc., it is responsible for smoothly conveying the steel plates through each processing procedure. The speed of the conveyor system can usually be adjusted to adapt to different processing requirements and production rhythms.
Cleaning Chamber: It is the working space for shot blasting treatment. Protective linings are installed inside to prevent the shot and the steel plate from damaging the equipment. The cleaning chamber is also equipped with a dust suction device, which can promptly suck out the dust and impurities generated during the shot blasting process, keeping the working environment clean.
Shot Circulation System: It includes devices such as shot collection, lifting, separation, and storage. The shot after shot blasting is collected by the collection device, lifted by the elevator to the separator, where the broken shot, dust, and impurities are separated out, and the qualified shot is re-stored for the shot blasting machine to use in a cycle, reducing the production cost.
Painting System (Optional): Some pretreatment lines are also equipped with a painting device. After the steel plate is shot blasted, it can be immediately sprayed with a primer, which plays a role in temporary rust prevention and protecting the surface of the steel plate. The painting system usually includes a painting booth, spray guns, a paint supply device, etc.
Loading: Place the steel plates to be processed on the conveying rollers, and the conveyor system sends the steel plates into the shot blasting pretreatment line.
Shot Blasting Treatment: The steel plate enters the cleaning chamber of the shot blasting machine. The impeller of the shot blasting machine rotates at a high speed, throwing the shot onto the surface of the steel plate, and carrying out comprehensive shot blasting cleaning on the steel plate to remove impurities such as scale and rust on the surface.
Sweeping and Dust Removal: The steel plate after shot blasting treatment continues to move through the conveying rollers. It passes through the sweeping device, which sweeps away the residual shot and dust on the surface of the steel plate. At the same time, the dust suction device sucks out the dust and other impurities and conducts centralized treatment.
Inspection and Repair: The staff inspects the surface of the steel plate after shot blasting treatment. If there are parts that are not cleaned thoroughly or damaged locally, manual repair or re-treatment is carried out.
Painting (Optional): If the pretreatment line is equipped with a painting system, the steel plate that has passed the inspection enters the painting booth for primer spraying. After the spraying is completed, it enters the drying process to make the primer dry and cure quickly.
Unloading: The steel plate after pretreatment and painting (if any) is sent out of the pretreatment line by the conveyor system, completing the entire processing process, and waiting for subsequent processing or use.
