Process Composition of the Powder Coating Line
Pretreatment System
The purpose is to remove impurities such as oil stains, rust, and dust from the surface of the workpiece, so as to improve the adhesion of the powder coating and the quality of the coating. It usually includes processes such as degreasing, pickling, phosphating, and water washing, and the workpieces are treated by means of immersion, spraying, etc.
Powder Spraying System
This is the core part of the powder coating line, mainly consisting of spray guns, powder feeding devices, powder recovery devices, etc. The spray guns evenly spray the powder coating onto the surface of the workpiece. The powder feeding device ensures that the powder can be stably supplied to the spray guns, and the powder recovery device can collect the powder that has not adhered to the workpiece, realizing the recycling of the powder, reducing costs and minimizing dust pollution.
Drying and Curing System
After spraying, the workpieces need to enter the drying and curing furnace for heating, so that the powder coating melts, levels out, and cures into a film at a certain temperature. The drying and curing furnace usually adopts methods such as electric heating, gas heating, or fuel oil heating. By precisely controlling the temperature and time, it ensures that the coating achieves good performance.
Conveying System
It is responsible for conveying the workpieces between various processes. Common conveying methods include overhead conveying chains, roller conveyor lines, belt conveyor lines, etc. The speed of the conveying system can be adjusted according to the requirements of the production process to ensure that the workpieces have sufficient processing time in each process.
Control System
It is used to monitor and control the operation of the entire powder coating line, including functions such as starting, stopping, speed adjustment, temperature control, and fault alarm of each device. The control system can achieve automated operation, improving production efficiency and the stability of product quality.
Working Principle
The workpiece first goes through the pretreatment system to remove surface impurities and form a surface suitable for powder adhesion. Then, the workpiece is sent to the powder spraying area through the conveying system. Under the action of high-voltage static electricity, the spray gun charges the powder, and the charged powder is adsorbed onto the grounded surface of the workpiece under the action of the electric field force. After spraying is completed, the workpiece enters the drying and curing system. Under the action of high temperature, the powder coating undergoes physical and chemical changes and cures into a uniform and dense coating. Finally, the cooled workpiece is sent out by the conveying system, completing the entire powder coating process.
